Observe a real situation, listen to the child, and choose support you can explain, try and adjust.
With France Hutchison, founder of PedaYoga, develop your educational practice and your ability to support reflection within your team. Neuro-PedaYoga connects learning concepts, educational coaching and the PedaYoga activity repertoire. A proposed 100-hour programme over 12 months — 2027 cohort.

Explore the learning outcomes, eight modules, CARE, the project and assessment requirements.
What will you be able to do?
- Observe facts and compare several hypotheses before reaching a conclusion.
- Use CARE to step back and clarify a next step to try.
- Listen, paraphrase and offer accessible questions or choices through words, gestures or images.
- Create and lead sessions adapted to a goal, the group and the child’s participation options.
- Adjust an instruction, environment or activity based on contextual observations.
- Facilitate a reflective conversation with a colleague and share a tool adapted to their setting.
CARE as a guiding thread
Calm · Acknowledge · Reflect · Explore next steps. Notice your tension, acknowledge the other person’s perspective, distinguish facts from assumptions, and clarify a next step. CARE is a reflective guide proposed within the programme. Calming does not mean demanding stillness or silencing an emotion.

Learn through a real case
Choose a situation with your setting: a challenging transition, an unclear instruction or a participation difficulty. Observe, gather perspectives, plan a session or routine, try it and adjust after feedback. Then support a colleague’s reflection and adapt a tool together. A simulation route is available when workplace practice is not accessible; it does not count as real-world implementation.
Tools for practice
You will build a CARE journal, adapted sessions, an educational support plan and a portfolio of trials and adjustments. France’s commented dialogues, evolving cases and peer practice support your learning. The seven PedaYoga levels provide a complementary practical repertoire; commercial access to them is not automatically included.
Who is it for?
Primarily educators, teachers and specialized service providers. Parents may participate when the programme fits their context. For schools and educational centres, the project can prepare a resource-person role, with responsibilities and protected time agreed upon with leadership.
100 hours without double counting
80 hours of modules and a 20-hour supported project. Twelve monthly 30-minute meetings total 6 hours within the modules’ practice and analysis time. Three one-hour group coaching sessions are included in the 20-hour project. CARE tools do not add hours to the total.
Meetings and support
Pre-recorded content, downloadable resources and one recorded live 30-minute meeting per month on the first Monday. Choose one time slot: 8:30–9:00 a.m. or 10:30–11:00 a.m., Ottawa time. The detailed calendar will be provided before the programme begins. Dates for the three group coaching sessions will be set once the cohort has formed.
Assessment, certificate and workplace role
Successful completion requires evidence of all eight competencies: an observed activity or simulation, an observed conversation, a portfolio and a project showing an adjustment after feedback and transfer to a colleague. Insufficient evidence leads to further practice and a new presentation. Resubmission arrangements and deadlines will be provided before registration.
After successful assessment: Practitioner of the Neuro-PedaYoga approach, with a certificate issued by PedaYoga. Attendance alone leads to a separate participation record. A Neuro-PedaYoga resource person or internal practice coaching role requires an agreement with leadership. No external accreditation or clinical qualification is claimed.

A programme in development
Content, demonstrations and tools are being produced or finalized. Operational details and workload will be reviewed through a pilot. Assessment focuses on the professional’s development; no specific outcome is guaranteed for every child. Research findings are distinguished from hypotheses and original PedaYoga applications; citing research does not imply the researchers’ endorsement.
